You can specify the amount of battery charge.
By setting the amount of battery charge low, battery degradation can be prevented.
Follow these steps-
1) Click the Start Menu & write VAIO Control Center and press Enter.
2) There are many option, now click on Battery.
3) Tick mark "Enable Battery Care Function" and click on "Advanced Settings."
4) Here, there are 3 option
i) Battery Care Function (80%)
ii) Battery Care Function (50%)
iii) Custom Setting.
You can choose any of them all option has advantage read below.
5) Now click on "Apply" and then click "Ok" and improve your Battery Power.
1) If you choose "Battery Care Function (80%)" -
Battery life will be about 80% of the one of the fully charged battery, however, this mode prevents battery degradation and is more effective
if you usually use the computer with battery power.
[Note] When you use the AC adapter to power the computer and the battery power is higher than the desired value,
it takes time to reach the specified amount of battery charge.
It is recommended to discharge the battery to less than 80% by using the computer with battery power.
2) If you choose "Battery Care Function (50%)" -
Battery life will be about 50% shorter than the one of the fully charged battery, however, this mode prevents battery degradation and is more effective
if you usually use the computer with the AC adapter.
[Note] When you use the AC adapter to power the computer and the battery power is higher than the desired value,
it takes time to reach the specified amount of battery charge.
It is recommended to discharge the battery to less than 50% by using the computer with battery power.
3) If you choose "Custom Settings" -
When you use multiple batteries to power the computer, specify the settings for the mode on each battery.
[Note] When you use the AC adapter to power the computer and the battery power is higher than the desired value,
it takes time to reach the specified amount of battery charge.
It is recommended to discharge the battery to less than the amount of battery charge for the specified mode by using the computer with battery power.
